Animal-Assisted Special Program

We know the earliest years are critical for setting a strong foundation. Our comprehensive therapy services are designed to meet the unique needs of infants, whether they are typically developing or need extra support. We focus on helping your baby thrive in every aspect of growth and development.

Meet Gator

We’re thrilled to welcome Gator, our new therapy dog in training at Southern Pediatric Therapy! As part of our upcoming Animal-Assisted Special Program, Gator will play a unique role in supporting therapeutic growth through safe, supervised interactions with patients and staff.

Animal-assisted therapy incorporates trained animals into healthcare and education settings to help improve physical, cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional skills. These programs are thoughtfully designed to ensure the safety and well-being of both the animal and those they serve.

Gator is a Cavapoo, a breed known for its friendly nature, adaptability, and hypoallergenic coat. While still a puppy, he’ll begin training and certification to become an official part of our therapy team. Until then, Gator will bring comfort, connection, and a little extra joy to the SPT clinic as he grows into his new role.
