Tutoring

Our individual tutoring sessions provide personalized academic support tailored to your child's unique learning needs. Each 30-minute session is designed to help students strengthen foundational skills, prepare for important tests, and build the confidence they need to succeed in the classroom. Through individualized instruction and targeted skill-building, we help students make progress while developing the tools they need for long-term academic success.

Individual or small group tutoring sessions are available as a self-pay service. Please call our office for scheduling and pricing.

Dyslexia Intervention

Our dyslexia intervention program provides individualized, evidence-based instruction for students with dyslexia and other reading challenges. Led by Claire Fowler, a CALT (Certified Academic Language Therapist) in training with 26 years of classroom experience, sessions utilize the Orton-Gillingham approach—a structured, multisensory method designed to help students build strong foundational reading, spelling, and language skills.

Instruction is tailored to each child's individual needs, helping struggling readers gain confidence while developing the skills needed for long-term academic success. Your child does not need a dyslexia diagnosis to be in this program.

Group Sessions

Our academic groups provide an environment where students can build skills alongside their peers. Academic Tutoring groups focus on specific academic goals, including foundational skill development, state testing preparation, and other areas based on student needs, while Dyslexia Intervention groups use the Orton-Gillingham multisensory structured literacy approach to support struggling readers and students with dyslexia. Each 45–60 minute session combines targeted instruction, practice, and encouragement to help students strengthen skills, build confidence, and experience success in their learning.

Student Success Stories

One of the experiences that solidified Claire's passion for structured literacy was working with a first-grade student who was extremely shy and struggling to learn to read. As Claire built trust with her through individualized instruction, the student eventually shared that "the words were moving." Claire immediately collaborated with the student's family and other professionals, leading to evaluations that identified both visual concerns and dyslexia. Through consistent intervention, eye exercises, and Orton-Gillingham instruction, the student developed the reading skills and confidence she needed to thrive. She went on to become an Honor Roll student, a success Claire credits to the collaborative efforts of educators, specialists, and her family working together.

Another memorable student was a young boy diagnosed with dyslexia whose family sought additional support outside of school. Claire met with him twice each week for three years, providing individualized Orton-Gillingham instruction after school. Over time, he transformed from a struggling reader into a confident learner, eventually graduating as the valedictorian of his class. Today, he is a successful anesthesiologist. Stories like these continue to inspire Claire's passion for helping students overcome reading challenges and discover what they're capable of achieving.
