What is Pelvic Floor Therapy?

Pelvic floor therapy focuses on the muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues that support the bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs. These muscles play an important role in bladder and bowel control, core stability, posture, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and overall pelvic health.

When the pelvic floor muscles become too weak, too tight, or are not functioning properly, they can contribute to a variety of symptoms. Pelvic floor therapy uses individualized treatment techniques, education, and exercises to help improve muscle function and reduce symptoms so you can enjoy everyday activities.
