Making a lasting impact on your child’s life.
Our Services
SPT offers pediatric services including occupational, speech, physical, and music therapy. We serve children from birth to 21 years. Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable care for both patients and families. We also strive to be a private practice known for excellent care. We achieve this through skilled interventions, always following a family-centered approach.
-
Occupational therapy helps children improve their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and ability to complete daily tasks. This therapy fosters independence in activities like dressing, writing, and feeding.
-
Speech therapy supports children in developing strong communication skills, including speaking, understanding language, and using non-verbal communication. It also addresses feeding difficulties, such as swallowing and texture sensitivity.
-
Physical therapy helps children build strength, flexibility, and coordination, allowing them to improve mobility and overcome physical challenges. It supports activities like walking, running, and balancing, promoting overall physical health.
-
Music therapy uses the power of music to enhance emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children. Through structured musical activities, children improve social skills, communication, and motor coordination.
-
Our infant services focus on supporting feeding and oral motor development to help babies thrive. We address challenges such as breastfeeding or bottle-feeding difficulties as well as tongue and lip ties. Through personalized care and parent education, we aim to improve feeding success, comfort, and overall growth while fostering a positive start for your baby’s development.
-
Pediatric pelvic floor therapy is a specialized treatment that helps children manage bladder and bowel concerns by improving pelvic muscle coordination, strength, and function. This therapy addresses issues such as constipation, bedwetting, urinary incontinence, and frequent UTIs through gentle, evidence-based techniques tailored to each child’s needs. Our goal is to promote comfort, confidence, and independence in a supportive environment.
-
Our Animal-Assisted Special Program brings the support of a trained therapy dog into the clinic to enhance care. Gator, our puppy in training, helps create a calming, motivating environment while working toward full certification to support kids in reaching their therapy goals.
-
Nutrition services at SPT are led by our licensed pediatric dietitian and tailored to support children’s growth, development, and overall health. We work closely with families to address concerns like feeding difficulties, allergies, special medical needs, and healthy weight management. Through personalized nutrition plans and expert guidance, we help your child thrive from the inside out.
-
FEES, or Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing, is a valuable tool we offer at SPT to assess the safety and function of a child’s swallow. This simple, in-office procedure uses a small camera through the nose to give a clear view of how food and liquids move through the throat during eating.
If your child has trouble swallowing, ongoing feeding concerns, or a history of aspiration, FEES can provide answers and guide safer, more effective therapy. This service is offered as part of our speech therapy and feeding services.

Does your child need a boost in handwriting? We’re offering private handwriting lessons with one of our Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) at Southern Pediatric Therapy. These one-on-one sessions are designed to strengthen handwriting ability, build confidence, and make writing less frustrating. Whether you want extra practice before the school year or simply want to improve your child’s skills, these lessons are offered at specific times on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note: These handwriting sessions are not occupational therapy and are not part of an insurance-based treatment plan. They are private, skill-based lessons focused solely on handwriting improvement. These sessions can be scheduled independently or alongside ongoing OT services for additional support.
